I was listening to "The Situation Room" on CNN this afternoon as I was
driving home from work and heard someone talking about how people just
want the government to give them a hand. This person went on to say that
the "stimulus" package will give people the hand they need to get the
economy moving.
The only people who want a "hand" are the ones who have always been
waiting with their hands out for a handout from the government. The rest
of us, the majority of working Americans simply want the
government to keep its hand out of our pockets and allow us to control
our own destiny. Of course those in government have to try to be part of
the solution instead of simply doing the logical thing and getting out
of the way so that we can get ourselves moving again.
I don’t know the answer to getting the economy back on track, but I do
know that taking money from those who have earned it isn’t going to
work. It never has.
I’m afraid that the coming socialization of America is going to have to
get into full swing before the dumbmasses figure out that’s what it is,
socialism. By then it just might be too late to change it, but I don’t
see the vast majority of people in America being awake enough to what’s
going on to see it for what it is until it’s too late.
