I’m sure that both sides orchestrate disruptions in town hall meetings and I have to agree that it does more harm than good. If you want to complain and boy do we have good reason to complain about this, do it in a respectful way. Respectful of others who have an opinion as well and respectful of the Senator or Representative that you are speaking to.
You really can’t expect someone to take you seriously if you’re a raving maniac, now can you? I certainly wouldn’t. When you go to these meetings, think about how much more you will accomplish if you take a bunch of like minded people with you and fill the room with voters who oppose governmental control of your healthcare. Congress does take this seriously. They want to get reelected. If they see their district or their state vocally opposing what they are pitching, they will switch pitches.
Not that long ago there was a terrible amnesty bill up before Congress. It caused so much of a ruckus that congress listened and it died. Now this isn’t going to die, but if we raise enough hell it can become watered down enough to not do any real damage. It’s already working to some extent, but calm complaints are the way to have your voice heard. Think about it.

Who is for raving lunatics? Media is focusing directly on the confrontational people at these town hall meetings for a reason and that is that they are in the tank 100% for Obama and liberal Democrats because most in the media are. I live here in Iowa and we have Sen. Chuck Grassley and Tom Harkin that have attended these public meetings and both have taken heat.
Obamacare is not the cause it is a case of the final straw that broke the camel’s back, keeping the endless stream growing government increasing taxes and intruding into all of our lives as what is now become at warp speed velocity people are mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore, they’re elected officials don’t care anymore what they think, I heard an audio clip of a woman speaking at one of these forums referring to herself as a southern Iowa redneck with tattoos and who knows what else but this woman was well read and spoke from the heart and articulated the truth in a reasoned and orderly manner I would buy this woman a beer and toast to her as being one hell of an American any day! You think that the mainstream media would put this woman on national TV heck no they wish to portray freedom loving Americans as the mob, uneducated, unreasonable, uncouth and disruptive they are angry and with good reason.
Sen. Tom Harkin lied to their face at the meeting and has lied throughout his entire career even about being a fighter pilot over Vietnam and Sen. Charles Grassley has lost the fire in the belly for what is right both have been there far too long what we desperately need is term limits. Let us not forget the origins of our country and that sometimes the Rodney King philosophy of “can’t we all just get along” isn’t going to cut it and blood was shed to enable our nation to be born and as it states in our preamble and I’m paraphrasing people would put up with a lot of tyranny and usurpation before they get angry enough for something to snap! Like a dry twig under your foot the pressure is on, and the tyranny they don’t inflect on us directly they do indirectly by utilizing the judicial oligarchy who is also on the tank with their agenda.
The fall of ancient Rome, the Roman nobles ate, drank, made merry enjoyed life with diversions in the Colosseum confident in the dominance they held over the conquered people of the land, right up until the day the Visigoths came over the wall of Rome and sacked it, boy were they surprised.
I would much rather be civil kind and courteous about this but you know maybe it’s time these modern-day nobles and self-proclaimed lords over us feel the ground shaking.
