Graduation
OK so I know that I’m not the most personable person in the world. My wife says that I just don’t like very many people and that may be true but… Why would I send a graduation gift to a kid that I haven’t seen since she was 5? I’m not friends with her parents (ex-wife’s niece) and I’m not friends with her aunt (my ex-wife). So why send me a graduation invitation?
From all accounts she’s a great kids and an honor student, but I don’t go sending every honor student a graduation gift just because I met them a few times. I don’t get it. This isn’t really completely about this situation but many others over the years as well. Why send a graduation invitation and hence a request for a graduation gift, to everyone you’ve ever known? There may well be a valid answer that I just don’t know about. If so, hopefully someone can straighten me out on it.
