As soon as the fasten seatbelt sign on the airplane is turned off upon arrival at the gate, people jump up to stand in the aisle. When the door is opened, people start filing out. BUT the people who were standing there wait until the rows in front of them are empty before the start moving. They wait for even the rows directly in front of them to clear when those people were simply sitting there waiting. So I wonder why these people bother jumping up like they are going to bolt as soon as the way is clear.
On my last trip, I was in the last row on both my flights. Both times, there were gaps several rows in front yet the people with me in the back waited for everyone to move out before they moved forward. On the last flight, I politely pushed my way out of my seat past one of these “waiters” and proceeded to move up until I was at the head of the gap.
OK so no one cares, but I just don’t get it.
