Today the sermon by our associate pastor (who is also in the Air Force Reserve as a Chaplain) talked about Jesus trying to navigate for the disciples.  He could only show them the way to go and hope that they had the faith to follow his guidance.

I’ve never put it into those words, but that’s how I view God in my life.  I’m always asking for directions.  I don’t know which way to go most of the time.  I’m trying to navigate when I should be trying to follow the directions of the great Navigator.  In my prayers, I ask for guidance and the courage to follow.  That’s something else that isn’t easy to come by.  The courage to follow where you think you should go in your life.  It doesn’t do any good to have a great Navigator showing you the way if you aren’t willing to follow His directions, now does it?
