The co-chair of Barack Obama’s Transition Team, Valerie Jarrett,
appeared on Meet the Press this weekend and used, shall we say, an
interesting word to described what she thinks Barack Obama will be doing
in January when he’s officially sworn into office. She told Tom Brokaw
that Obama will be ready to "rule" on day one. It’s a word that reflects
the worst fears that people have for Obama the "arrogant," the
"messiah," that imagines he’s here to "rule" instead of govern.

Jarret told Brokaw that "given the daunting challenges that we face,
it’s important that president elect Obama is prepared to really take
power and begin to rule day one."

He’s
ready to use that power! I hope you weren’t getting used to lower
gas prices.

He’ll reverse the Bush executive orders that opened public lands to oil
drilling, the co-chair of his transition team said Sunday.

John Podesta, co-chair of Barack Obama’s transition team, indicated on
Sunday that the president-elect would quickly use executive powers to
reverse several Bush-era administrative rules, a few of which would have
an immediate impact on U.S. environmental policy. Appearing on Fox News
Sunday, Podesta, the Former chief of staff to Bill Clinton said,
“There’s a lot the president can do using his executive authority
without waiting for congressional action, and I think we’ll see the
president do that.”

According to the Washington Post, a team of about 50 Obama advisers have
worked for months identifying some 200 Bush policies as possible targets
for reversal.

If you thought the auto industry was suffering today, just
wait until January 21 (the day after the celebration).

The president-elect has said, for example, that he intends to quickly
reverse the Bush administration’s decision last December to deny
California the authority to regulate carbon dioxide emissions from
automobiles. "Effectively tackling global warming demands bold and
innovative solutions, and given the failure of this administration to
act, California should be allowed to pioneer," Obama said last January.

California had sought permission from the Environmental Protection
Agency to require that greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles be cut by
30 percent between 2009 and 2016, effectively mandating that cars
achieve a fuel economy standard of at least 36 miles per gallon within
eight years. Seventeen other states had promised to adopt California’s
rules, representing in total 45 percent of the nation’s automobile
market.

Remember Jimmy Carter? Add even more socialistic programs and limits on
your free speech and you’ve got Obama. But you asked for it so now you
have to live with it.

Now they want the President Bush to take someone’s property using
eminent domain so that they can have their 2,500
acre memorial site. The expansion of eminent domain use continues to
amaze me and this is just the latest case.

Don’t make your local government official mad or you may find yourself
looking for another place to hang your hat.

Minimum wage was one step in this direction, now you have another cap on
top. Now you know what you are allowed to earn or at least you will when
the new Chavez of the US is done.

This should be setting off everyone’s alarm, but most people don’t see
it as a problem since they think that it won’t directly affect them.
I’ll let you in on a little secret. It will affect everyone in America
and everyone in the world. The income tax started off with the same
promises. "Oh, only the richest people will have to pay this new fangled
income tax, so don’t you worry your little head about it." Now everyone
pays taxes on their income (is supposed to anyway).

This is what happens when you give one group complete control over your
government. They don’t have to respond to the needs of the people and
they have lost track of the way government is supposed to work.
Government in America isn’t intended to tell the people what they can
and can’t do. It’s the other way around. We were supposed to tell them
what they had the power to do, but they have taken that away and
educated the children of America to believe that this is the way it’s
supposed to be.

Socialism. The new standard for American government. Get used to it or
do something about it. Time is short. You won’t have the legal right to
complain about it if we keep heading in the direction we are going in.

Where were the warnings about the Ayers and Wrights of the world who were out there spreading hate and in Ayers case murder? 

If you are not liberal, watch out.  You are being targeted as an enemy of the state.

Momentum is growing around the republic for change.  Change in our tax structure has been hampering business and individual success since its inception.  Nothing short of a complete overhaul will repair the  broken system and bring America back to its people.

Tea parties are going to be happening all over America tomorrow, Tax Day in the United States.  These aren’t simple protests of over taxation.  They are demands for real change.  Government exists to serve the people.  People don’t exist to serve government.  Taxes in their current form in the United States are oppressive and hamper reward for hard work and individual effort.  The harder you work, the more you earn, the more is taken from you in the name of fairness.

Fairness would dictate that the harder I work, the more reward I should receive for it.  The current tax system dictates that the more I earn from my work, the higher percentage of my income should be taken from me and spent by my government on others.  How is this fair?

The sheer number of tea parties scheduled for tax day is an indication of just how fed up Americans are with our current tax system.  President Obama is continuing the President Bush’s spending spree and has actually increased spending to a level that cannot be sustained even in the short term.  Our government is bankrupting our republic before our eyes in the name of saving it.

I believe that the Obama administration knows this and that it’s part of a plan.  The Obama plan to take us from a mostly capitalist system into a more socialized system of government control of both industry and individual.  If you bankrupt the current system and drive the middle class into the lower class, they will be more willing to do whatever you say to sustain themselves and their families.  The plan is in motion and moving along more quickly than anyone could have imagined just a few short weeks ago.

God help us.

So our “Homeland Security” department has now, under Obama, determined that our military is a threat to… who?

WASHINGTON – A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed “right-wing extremists” concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.

The report, titled “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,” dated April 7, states that “threats from white supremacist and violent anti-government groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts.”

However, the document, first reported by talk-radio host and WND columnist Roger Hedgecock, goes on to suggest worsening economic woes, potential new legislative restrictions on firearms and “the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.”

What a slap in the face!  Those protecting us from rogue nations and terrorists abroad are now being singled out by our own government as possible terrorists?!?!  Where, Mr. President, do you find these people?

Find a tea party near you and attend to show your support.

Please consider their motivation: it is not money but rather to regain control of their waters from over-fishing and the dumping of toxic wastes by almost all European nations who have refused to stop their people. The dumping is killing their waters and their ability to survive.

This is a comment on a story about pirates attacking a U.S. cargo ship.  I’m guessing he has his Obama underwear, bunny slippers, and democratic underground bathrobe on (with his moveon.org pin securely attached).

The story explains that the pirates were paid $80 million last  year by shipping companies for the return of their ships, crew, and cargo, but this guy thinks it’s about keeping toxic waste from being dumped there?  I guess all of that food on the ship they attacked would cause too many people to crap up a storm and pollute their waters.  Makes sense to me.  Of course, if they starve, then you have that little problem as well.

I wonder what it’s like to talk to this guy.  I can’t imagine knowing someone who would actually believe this kind of thing.  I can just hear his high pitched whiny voice saying: “Oh, the innocent little pirates are just trying to stop toxic waste from being dumped on them. The millions of dollars they ask for will be used to clean up the mess being made by those bad American companies.  They aren’t after the money for themselves.”  Riiiiight.

It’s only taken a short time for President Obama to give rights once only afforded Americans and those who commited crimes within the borders of the united states to just about anyone.  This sets a dangerous precident that will definitely come back to haunt us.
