Feds push for tracking cell phones | Politics and Law - CNET News
More and more privacy disappearing. Obama says we have no expectation of privacy when using our cell phones. I wonder if he feels the same about his expectation of privacy.

China PLA officers urge economic punch against U.S. | Reuters.
BEIJING (Reuters) - Senior Chinese military officers have proposed that their country boost defense spending, adjust PLA deployments, and possibly sell some U.S. bonds to punish Washington for its latest round of arms sales to Taiwan.
Oh, but there’s no such thing as too much spending. What could possibly happen? It’s not like some foreign power could have any influence over us just because we owe them billions of dollars!

Clyburn: ‘We’ve got to spend our way out of this recession’ - The Hill’s Blog Briefing Room.
Here’s another quote for you:
Some other Democrats have worried that without expanded spending on social programs and other elements of the budget, some people hit hardest by the recession would be disadvantaged by the budget.
In other words, how can we buy votes if you take away our spending money to buy them with? Those dems sure to love their socialist programs, don’t they?

On the way home from work today I was listening to Foxnews on XM and Beck played a part of one of Obama’s speeches. He was talking about his desire and plan to fundamentally change America. Now I know what I think he means by that and I really don’t like losing more freedom, and income, because of his wishes. He really doesn’t get it just as the rest of the so called progressives don’t. We need a fundamental change in leadership and more importantly a fundamental change in politics in America.
Sorry, Mr. President, there’s nothing wrong with the country. It’s guys like you who spout off about how we dumb Americans just don’t get understand your brand of socialism that are the problem. I’ll have to agree that far too many Americans don’t know their left from their right and their rights from their protections. The problem is that many of us do understand the problem and are becoming more vocal as you, Mr. President, take more and more freedom along with more and more money from individuals. The fundamental problem for you is that far to many of us do get it for you and your kind to be happy.
While I don’t agree with Objectivism as Ayn Rand does, I do believe that the basic premise of “Atlas Shrugged” is based on sound principles. When you remove the incentive for producers to produce, they will stop producing. History proves it over and over again. If you haven’t read “Atlas Shrugged“, you should. It’s very long but very well worth the time it takes to read it.

Justice Dept.: President Obama’s administration may take action on BCS - NCAA Football - SI.com.
The BCS sucks, but not nearly as bad as a president who thinks it’s his place have everything in the country run to his personal satisfaction. Obama is GREATLY over reaching his place once again. It’s like he said a while back, having this much power really can go to your head and it obviously has with him.

Unions nab sweetheart health-care deal - NYPOST.com.
Friends in high places sure does help. Note that this was hammered out behind closed doors, which Obama said wouldn’t happen with him in the White House. Remember his promise to have all of this televised?
Big Labor got some big love from President Obama and congressional Democrats yesterday after they agreed to exempt union workers from the whopping “Cadillac tax” on high-cost health-care plans until 2018.
The sweetheart deal, hammered out behind closed doors, will save union employees at least $60 billion over the years involved, while others won’t be as lucky — they’ll have to cough up almost $90 billion.
The 40 percent excise tax on what have come to be called “Cadillac” health-care plans would exempt collective-bargaining contracts covering government employees and other union members until Jan. 1, 2018.

The new wave of female firebrands striking fear into liberal America | World news | The Observer.
While Michele Bachmann may bring conservatives together and raise liberal blood pressure to the popping point, her brand of politics is sure to cost Republicans yet another presidential election if she’s the nominee.
With so much information out there about her, there’s no real way that she can paint herself as enough of a moderate to get elected. Like it or not, moderate candidates almost always win the presidency. Obama is, of course, a far left liberal but he was able to get elected in no small part by people who want to feel like they aren’t racist by voting for him. Like it or not, it’s true. Now we are getting glimpses of his extremism but since his party has full control there’s nothing we can do but hope that we aren’t so socialized by the time they lose full power that we can’t get our freedom back.
I don’t hold out much hope for that being the case, personally.

Obama Draws Criticism for Sitting Out Berlin Wall Anniversary
President Obama squeezed in a trip to Copenhagen last month to lobby, unsuccessfully, for Chicago to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. He plans to travel to Oslo next month to accept the Nobel Peace Prize, an award that even Obama has said he does not deserve. And this coming week, he sets out on a weeklong tour of Asia.
But the president does not plan to travel to Germany to attend the 20th anniversary celebration Monday of the fall of the Berlin Wall, drawing heated criticism from those who say he’s ignoring a shining triumph of American-inspired democracy.
It’s easy to see why, though. He thinks that we’d all be better off under the control of a communist government. There’s no way that he’d celebrate the fall of one.
