China PLA officers urge economic punch against U.S. | Reuters.
BEIJING (Reuters) - Senior Chinese military officers have proposed that their country boost defense spending, adjust PLA deployments, and possibly sell some U.S. bonds to punish Washington for its latest round of arms sales to Taiwan.
Oh, but there’s no such thing as too much spending. What could possibly happen? It’s not like some foreign power could have any influence over us just because we owe them billions of dollars!
The fundamentals

On the way home from work today I was listening to Foxnews on XM and Beck played a part of one of Obama’s speeches. He was talking about his desire and plan to fundamentally change America. Now I know what I think he means by that and I really don’t like losing more freedom, and income, because of his wishes. He really doesn’t get it just as the rest of the so called progressives don’t. We need a fundamental change in leadership and more importantly a fundamental change in politics in America.
Sorry, Mr. President, there’s nothing wrong with the country. It’s guys like you who spout off about how we dumb Americans just don’t get understand your brand of socialism that are the problem. I’ll have to agree that far too many Americans don’t know their left from their right and their rights from their protections. The problem is that many of us do understand the problem and are becoming more vocal as you, Mr. President, take more and more freedom along with more and more money from individuals. The fundamental problem for you is that far to many of us do get it for you and your kind to be happy.
While I don’t agree with Objectivism as Ayn Rand does, I do believe that the basic premise of “Atlas Shrugged” is based on sound principles. When you remove the incentive for producers to produce, they will stop producing. History proves it over and over again. If you haven’t read “Atlas Shrugged“, you should. It’s very long but very well worth the time it takes to read it.

Unions nab sweetheart health-care deal - NYPOST.com.
Friends in high places sure does help. Note that this was hammered out behind closed doors, which Obama said wouldn’t happen with him in the White House. Remember his promise to have all of this televised?
Big Labor got some big love from President Obama and congressional Democrats yesterday after they agreed to exempt union workers from the whopping “Cadillac tax” on high-cost health-care plans until 2018.
The sweetheart deal, hammered out behind closed doors, will save union employees at least $60 billion over the years involved, while others won’t be as lucky — they’ll have to cough up almost $90 billion.
The 40 percent excise tax on what have come to be called “Cadillac” health-care plans would exempt collective-bargaining contracts covering government employees and other union members until Jan. 1, 2018.
House Committee on Ways & Means - Republican

House Committee on Ways & Means
Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage” and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.
So here’s your health “reform” from those you elected. How do you like me now?

Thank you Mr. President for spending those billions of dollars to keep our unemployment from reaching 9%. I’m so happy that you’ve “prevented” so many more jobs from being lost.

Fourth Videotape Reveals ACORN Advising ‘Pimp,’ ‘Prostitute’ in California
Why are we not surprised. I only wonder how many more videos/locations there will be.
America somehow elected a lawyer who served as council for this organization. I think that the reason Republicans lost is very much the same as 1994 when the Democrats lost. After so many years of power you get complacent and lose your way. It usually takes something big to wake you up again and get you moving back in the right direction.
Look at major sports figures. They are allowed to think that they are something special in high school, then it carries on to college and if they don’t screw up big enough there, they often do in the pros. Ask Michael Vick, Ryan Perrilloux, or Kobe Bryant.
Representative Bob Inglis also admitted that when he lost his first election, it really made him take a look at himself and brought him back to earth. I’m sure that this has happened to many others as well. The problem becomes everyone’s problem though when it’s such a huge shift to a single party control like we have now. If not for all of the buyers remorse kicking in, we’d likely be in much worse shape than we are right now. Tea Parties and town hall meetings are overflowing with people trying to save America from the OSM. It’s going to take a very long time to climb out of the hole that those trying to punish the Republican party dug last year.
Human nature got us into this mess but only good old fashioned American Patriotism through making our voices heard will get us out. Eventually.

White House Reveals Identity of Firm That Sent Unsolicited E-Mails on Health Reform
This president is showing day by day why he was a terrible choice. As I said before, he reminds me more of Richard Nixon than any other president. He’s breaking the law in so many ways and using our tax dollars to do it. Sending out unsolicited emails is the definition of spamming and there is a law against that though it seems that he has the opinion that he’s above the law.
He’s like a child acting out because he’s not getting his way. He’s spending us into oblivion and to make sure of it he’s funding an ad campaign with yet more of our tax dollars. Whats a few million more I guess, right?

Health care protests ‘clearly being orchestrated,’ senator says - CNN.com.
I’m sure that both sides orchestrate disruptions in town hall meetings and I have to agree that it does more harm than good. If you want to complain and boy do we have good reason to complain about this, do it in a respectful way. Respectful of others who have an opinion as well and respectful of the Senator or Representative that you are speaking to.
You really can’t expect someone to take you seriously if you’re a raving maniac, now can you? I certainly wouldn’t. When you go to these meetings, think about how much more you will accomplish if you take a bunch of like minded people with you and fill the room with voters who oppose governmental control of your healthcare. Congress does take this seriously. They want to get reelected. If they see their district or their state vocally opposing what they are pitching, they will switch pitches.
Not that long ago there was a terrible amnesty bill up before Congress. It caused so much of a ruckus that congress listened and it died. Now this isn’t going to die, but if we raise enough hell it can become watered down enough to not do any real damage. It’s already working to some extent, but calm complaints are the way to have your voice heard. Think about it.
Fact Sheet: America’s Uninsured
by Steve on Jul.23, 2009, under Economy, Freedom, Obamanation Socialist Movement, Politics, Politics: National, Taxes
Fact Sheet: America’s Uninsured.
Fact: Nearly 10 million (9.7) of the 45.7 million uninsured are “not a citizen.” That makes every media claim of uninsured Americans higher than 35.9 million is wrong.
Myth: The 40 million to 50 million uninsured cannot afford health insurance.
Fact: More than 17 million of the uninsured make at least $50,000 per year (the median household income of $50,233) – 8.4 million make $50,000 to $74,999 per year and 9.1 million make $75,000 or higher. Two economists working at the National Bureau of Economic Research concluded that 25 to 75 percent of those who do not purchase health insurance coverage “could afford to do so.”
Myth: The 40 million to 50 million uninsured do not get health care.
Fact: The National Center for Policy Analysis estimates that uninsured people get about $1,500 of free health care per year, or $6,000 per family of four.
Fact: An Urban Institute study found that 25 percent of the uninsured already qualify for government health insurance programs.
Myth: People will remain uninsured without government assistance.
Fact: The Congressional Budget Office says that 45 percent of the uninsured will be insured within four months. CBO Director Douglas Holtz-Eakin also said that the frequent claim of 40+ million Americans lacking insurance is an “incomplete and potentially misleading picture of the uninsured population.”
Fact: Liberal non-profit Kaiser Family Foundation put the number of uninsured Americans who do not qualify for government programs and make less than $50,000 a year between 8.2 million and 13.9 million. (The 8.2 million figure includes only those uninsured for two years or more.)
Fact: CBO analysis found that 36 million people would remain uninsured even if the Senate’s $1.6 trillion health care plan is passed.
