The Telegraph has posted some of the more scathing excerpts from these emails, which the newspaper suggests points to manipulation of evidence and private doubts about the reality of global warming, though the much of the scientific language in the e-mails is esoteric and hard to interpret.

With a schedule as hectic as President Obama’s it must be hard to stick to a training regimen without help — but why does he insist on having his old trainer fly out from Chicago to D.C. regularly when Obama and his wife exhort the rest of us to drive less? And in a recession? According to Ashley Parker at the New York Times, Obama’s fitness czar Cornell McClellan comes out to D.C. every week:

You must remember here that he’s the president and he’s not limited to the same rules as the rest of us.  He’s a very special man.  Of course, we can’t forget about the same argument for Al Gore when it was revealed that even though he preaches reducing energy usage, his own home uses many times more kwh’s than the normal home in America.  Again, these are special people who deserve special treatment.  It’s the rest of us, not the “ruling class” who must mind our p’s and q’s.

To listen to him speak is like watching a movie full of cliche’s.  You think that it’s a movie simply because you would never think that a rational person would believe that such nonsense would be taken seriously to the American public.  Al Gore apparently believes that if he says it, people will take it as fact.  In many cases, unfortunately, some influential people to take his word for it.  Fake science and all.
